The boys are all settled in their new home. They go out by themselves in a huge grassy pasture, and both seem very excited to have it all to themselves. Sometimes they'll come to the gate when they see me coming, but usually they stay out grazing.
Melissa rode Jodi yesterday, but I left my girth at home so I didn't ride Luke. I brought him in and groomed him and fly sprayed him, and then put him back out to graze. I don't think he minded. I'm going out to ride tonight, and I will hopefully have a good ride. I lost my lunge line though, so it could be an interesting ride...
I'll try to get some pictures tonight...it's been too long since I've taken new pictures!

Jodi was my first horse. My sister & I bought him when I was almost 15, and he's stuck around. He was the first horse I ever showed, the first horse I ever fell off of, and the horse that taught me how to ride. He's my best friend and I'd be lost without him. He loves to drink Coke from the bottle, but won't touch Pepsi. He loves skittles and peppermints. He's a little bit loopy, but he's special, and I love him for it.

Luke was born in Ohio and purchased as a weanling by someone who took him to Texas. He raced as a 4 year old in Texas, and came back to Ohio his 5 year old year. He ran for most of his 5 year old year before they decided he didn't want to be a racehorse. He ran 14 times and never hit the board. His last race was September 11, 2006, and I bought him on October 6, 2006. He came home a week later, and we began the process of getting to know each other. He was my first OTTB, and he has taught me so much. Our eventual goal is eventing...we're finally on our way!
